I am looking at learing to dive and would appreciate any pointers or recommended places/clubs in Bristol if anyone knows of any.

Not quite in Bristol but not far away, you might like to take a look at Vobster Quay. Quite a nice dive site (filled-in quarry lake) with some fun stuff to look at. We enjoyed it anyway (did our Open Water course there with 'A'-Flag Diving!)

Not really an advert as such... but it worked for me anyway :-)
